Jesse Jackson[/caption] Our efforts toward “Getting the Word Out: How to Market Your Ministry” takes us into many circles of friends, co-workers, and causes that we support.  Working with Rainbow PUSH, Reverend Jesse Jackson, and the newly appointed director of the Atlanta Regional Office of PUSH, Calvin Vismale, is one of those causes that turns into a “client” relationship whenever we are called on to assist. I visited with Rev. Dr. William Flippin and Rev. Richard Flippin last Sunday (March 17) at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church  for Men's Day.  First Lady of the Church, Mrs. Sylvia Flippin,  was as gracious as ever and welcomed me as we encountered one of the best sermons I have heard lately from Reverend Dr. H.  Beecher Hicks, Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC.    He spoke about smelling rain; and, yes, I can smell the rain.  What a blessing. Pastor Flippin is one of the ministers whom I have been associated with for several years.  We became good friends at the Hampton University Minister's Conference when I was there presenting a seminar about my book, Getting the Word Out:  How to Market Your Ministry.  I learned that Dr.…

This is my third year attending the annual Gospel Heritage Conference. This year, it was held in Atlanta at Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church, where Bishop Paul Morton was the host pastor. Dr. Teresa Hairston, the founder of Gospel Heritage, engaged the services First Class, Inc, the marketing & public relations agency which I have owned and managed for the past 36 years, to handle national and local media placements.
